Industries / Construction

Deliveries sequenced to your build programme.

We plan around site access, laydown space and delivery hours, so materials and equipment arrive exactly when each phase of the build needs them.

The priority

Working within site constraints

On a construction project the site sets the constraints: typically no storage, restricted delivery hours, a single access point and a crane booked by the hour. Early material is as disruptive as late material, so we schedule every delivery to the build programme.

How we handle it

  • Schedule to the build programme with a call-off arrangement.
  • Assess site access, delivery windows and crane availability before committing to a delivery slot.
  • Hold material at a consolidation point near site where laydown area is the binding constraint.
  • Plan oversized prefabricated sections as project cargo, with survey and permits from the outset.

Key challenges

Four challenges we plan around.

No storage on site

Urban and constrained sites have minimal laydown. Early delivery blocks the works as effectively as late delivery stops them.

Restricted access

Delivery hours, vehicle size limits, permitted routes and neighbourhood restrictions all constrain what can arrive and when.

Programme-sequenced delivery

Materials are consumed in build order. Delivery has to follow the programme, and the programme moves.

Prefabricated sections

Modular and precast elements are frequently oversized, needing permits, escorts and a lift plan against a crane already booked.
