Dangerous goods, shipped safely and compliantly.

UN number, packing group, packaging, labelling and documentation are verified before booking, so carriers accept your cargo and it moves without interruption.

The priority

Carrier acceptance, right first time

Dangerous goods are checked at the point of tender, and a wrong packing instruction, a missing label or an inconsistency between the declaration and the safety data sheet leads to refusal, with the cargo returned to the shipper and the booking lost. We complete verification before dispatch.

How we handle it

  • Establish UN number, class and packing group from the safety data sheet before quoting.
  • Verify packaging, marking and labelling against the applicable mode's ruleset before dispatch.
  • Check carrier and terminal acceptance for the specific class on the specific routing.
  • Prepare the declaration through certified partners and keep it consistent with every other document in the set.

Key challenges

Four challenges we plan around.

Mode-specific regulation

The same substance is governed by different rulesets by air, sea and road, with different limits and packaging requirements. A compliant sea shipment can be non-compliant by air.

Segregation requirements

Incompatible classes cannot be stowed together. Segregation rules constrain consolidation and sometimes the choice of service.

Documentation consistency

The declaration, safety data sheet, marks and labels must agree exactly. Any inconsistency between them is grounds for rejection.

Carrier and port acceptance

Individual carriers and terminals impose their own restrictions above the regulations, and these vary by route and by season.
